The tree itself is mains-powered — simply plug in to enjoy. The remote control runs on a button cell battery (not included). Is it suitable for outdoor use? Designed for indoor use. For best results and safety, display in a dry, sheltered location. Safety Information For indoor use only. Do not use if damaged or wet. Unplug by grasping the plug, not the cord. Keep cords, batteries, and small parts away from children and pets — the remote's button cell battery (not included) can cause serious harm if swallowed.
