The clever two-chamber system allows you to use it as a smoker: To do this, stoke the fire in the left, smaller chamber, while meat or fish are placed in the right, larger chamber, where they can be cooked at a low, constant temperature without direct heat radiation. When smoking, the right temperature and the amount of smoke are what matter most. The built-in chimney and the ventilation slide work hand in hand: You use the slide to control the airflow and, consequently, how intensely the charcoal glows. The swiveling cover on the chimney lets you regulate how much smoke escapes from the grill. The thermometer in the lid also shows you what’s happening inside at all times. Instead of smoking, you can, of course, also grill the traditional way. Since both grilling chambers have their own grate and charcoal tray, they can be used simultaneously and independently of each other. You can cook the meat in the large chamber while keeping the side dishes warm in the small chamber. Two grill grate lifters make removing the grates easy and safe. The galvanized charcoal pans can also be removed, making them convenient to empty and easy to clean after use. The two sturdy casters and the side handle make it easy to move the bbq around. Each of the lids on the two cooking chambers also features a heat-resistant wooden handle, so you can open them safely while grilling.
