The Actiasbee National cedar beehive starter kit provides a complete setup for those looking to begin beekeeping with a traditional National hive. Manufactured from durable cedar wood, the hive offers natural weather resistance and is suitable for long-term outdoor use. This flat pack kit includes all key hive components along with frames and wax foundation, allowing for a more complete setup ready for colony introduction once assembled. The brood box is supplied with 11 brood frames and wax foundation sheets, while the two super boxes include 22 super frames and wax foundation, providing space for colony growth and honey production. The hive features a Varroa mesh floor with a slide-out inspection tray, allowing monitoring of pests and debris without disturbing the colony. An entrance block with summer and winter openings helps regulate airflow and hive access throughout the seasons. Additional components include metal runners for improved durability, a queen excluder to separate brood from honey supers, and a crown board with porter bee escape cut-outs to assist with hive management. The 4\"\" roof with aluminium cover provides added protection from weather exposure. Assembly is required, and instructions are included. Please note: Glue, nails, tools and bees are not included.
