The locking lid allows sandwiches of different thicknesses to be toasted and can be easily stored upright. The plates are naturally non-stick coating to release the toasted sandwiches without tearing and food residue can be wiped away easily - simply wipe over with a damp cloth. With power on and preheat lights, as well as automatic temperature control, you will know either the plate is already ready for cooking or it is switched on, saving your sandwiches from overcooking or staying undercooked.
