    BI Analyst

    As a result of our continued growth and ongoing success, we are seeking a dynamic BI Analyst to join our Head Office team in Plymouth.

     

    About the Role:

    We are looking for a BI Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team. This role is responsible for developing reports, dashboards and data-driven insights that support decision-making across the business. Working with a variety of data sources, you will analyse information, identify trends and present findings in a clear and meaningful way to stakeholders.

    The successful candidate will play a key role in understanding business requirements, creating visually engaging reports and ensuring that reporting solutions remain accurate, relevant and user-friendly. This position offers the opportunity to develop technical and analytical skills while working on a wide range of projects that have a direct impact on business performance.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards in line with business requirements and best practice.
    • Analyse existing data sets to ensure reports are built using the most appropriate and accurate data sources.
    • Create visually engaging, user-friendly reports that provide meaningful business insights.
    • Continuously review and enhance existing reports to ensure they remain effective and up to date.
    • Deliver report walkthroughs and training to users when new reports or enhancements are released.
    • Produce ad hoc reports and analysis to support business priorities and operational decision-making.
    • Present findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders across the business.
    • Work closely with colleagues to understand reporting requirements and provide data-driven solutions.

     

    Person Specification:

    Essential

    • Experience using Microsoft Excel.
    • Good understanding of business principles and how data can be used to support decision-making.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Analytical mindset with strong commercial awareness.
    • Excellent prioritisation, organisational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to quickly learn new skills, systems and technologies.
    • Creative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

    Desirable

    • Experience creating reports, dashboards or business analysis.
    • Experience using Power BI.
    • Previous experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, Data Analysis or similar analytical role.
    • Experience presenting data and insights to stakeholders.

    Position: Permanent, Full-time

    Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:45am – 17:30pm.

    Location: Plymouth, Devon
