    Social Media Assistant

    As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Social Media Assistant to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.

     

    About the Role:

    We wish to recruit a highly organised and proactive person, able to work against tight deadlines with outstanding prioritization skills. The right candidate will keep multiple social media channels updated whilst remaining brand-focused and seek out new social media avenues and ways of connecting with audiences and increasing company turnover.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • End to end management of the company social media channels, reporting into the social media manager.
    • Create engaging and dynamic written, graphic and video content.
    • Engage in social media presence creation on new and emerging social media platforms.
    • Optimizes content following search engine optimization (SEO).
    • Creates content that promotes audience interaction, increases audience presence on company sites and encourages audience participation.
    • Assists social media team with large projects.
    • Works as part of a team to develop large social media campaigns.
    • Monitor competitor activity.
    • Proposes new ideas and concepts for social media content.
    • Be knowledgeable in social media trends and integrate these into the business.
    • Use analytics tools to gauge the success of campaigns.
    • Prepare reports on campaigns based on analytics. 
    • Develop strategies for growing sales & increasing awareness.
    • Work cohesively with in-house teams to ensure targets are met.
    • Implement influencer endorsements to support the overall social media strategy.

     

    Person Specification:

    • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok.
    • Confident IT skills with a creative and analytical mindset.
    • Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure.
    • Eagerness to learn new technologies, software, and industry trends.
    • Design experience using Adobe, Corel, or Photoshop is desirable but not essential.
    • Knowledge of Google Analytics and paid advertising is desirable.
    • A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and use initiative.
