    New Business Onboarding Executive

    As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Marketplace Assistant to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.

     

    Role Overview:

    The New Business Executive will be responsible for ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new sellers, setting them up for success by guiding them through product listings, ensuring compliance and building strong seller relations. In this role, you will collaborate with the New Business Lead and Seller Account Management team to deliver an exceptional seller experience on The Range Marketplace. You will report directly to the New Business Lead.

     

    Responsibilities

    You will be required to:

    • Onboard new sellers by guiding them through the platform’s systems, tools, and policies.
    • Work with the New Business Lead to conduct thorough seller vetting and in-house compliance checks to ensure alignment with company standards.
    • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory compliance requirements throughout the seller onboarding process and introductory period.
    • Work with the New Business Lead to identify, prioritise and expedite new key leads in line with business strategy.
    • Provide dedicated support to sellers during the sign-up and introductory phase, facilitating a smooth onboarding experience.
    • Assist sellers with listing products, optimising products, and ensuring that all logistical requirements are met.
    • Support and resolve seller issues related to account setup, operational processes, product listings, and integration into Marketplace.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and escalate technical or operational challenges during onboarding.
    • Provide continuous support to new sellers during their first 4–6 months, tracking progress, KPI’s and strengthening the foundation for long-term success.
    • Support product onboarding processes in collaboration with Capita, ensuring accurate and timely product listings.
    • Facilitate a smooth transition of sellers from the introduction phase through to the Seller Account Management team, highlighting any key sellers, and performance indicators.
    • Deliver training and onboarding sessions to new sellers to ensure successful integration.
    • Liaise with cross-functional teams (e.g Seller Account Management, Finance, Marketing, Compliance) to resolve issues and enhance the end-to-end seller and customer experience
    • Produce and analyse regular reports to guide decision-making and performance tracking.
    • Utilise Zendesk to manage and resolve seller enquiries, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and consistent and timely communication.

     

    Essential & Preferred Skills & Requirements

    • 0-2 years of experience, with a strong interest in e-commerce marketplaces, with demonstrated skills through academic work, internships, or related experiences
    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
    • Familiarity with product listings, marketplace tools, and seller platforms.
    • An acute eye for attention to detail.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet tight deadlines.
    • Confident with Microsoft Excel and capable of working with formulas and graphs.
    • A professional and respectful team player.
    • Experience in working cross-functionally with technical and operational teams.

     

    Position: Permanent, Full-time, In-Office.

    Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:45am – 17:30pm.

    Location: London & Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite.
