    Data Analyst

    As a result of our expansion plans and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a Data Analyst, to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.

    As the Data Analyst, you will assist in developing, implementing & maintaining margin and oversight strategies to meet agreed company objectives.

    You will report to the Margin Protection Manager.

    In order to succeed in this role, you’ll be expected to:

    • Have a proven background in Retail Head Office support roles.

    • Self-sufficient PC skills to include – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email
    • Experience with relevant marketing software applications

     

    Full training will be provided

    Accountabilities:

    • Analysing and providing valuable insight into company performance vs budget.
    • Analysing store performance, providing recommendations and actions to help increase turnover and profit.
    • Identifying anomalies causing loss of profit.
    • Reviewing retail changes and providing insight into sales and profit performance.
    • Ensure store turnover, profit and margin is on target vs company objectives.
    • Provide meaningful reports and insights, recommending appropriate actions, with the aim of enhancing and protecting margin.
    • Conduct investigations as directed by the Head of Department into identified areas of concern related to profit and margin.
    • Provide feedback, findings and make recommendations for improved processes and procedures related to enhancing margin protection. 
    • Assist others in the validation of Companywide project proposals & business cases which involve capital or other significant expenditure.
