    Payroll Clerk

    As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Payroll Clerk to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth. You will be assisting in the day-to-day payroll workload, working closely alongside the other members of the payroll team reporting to the Payroll Manger and the Assistant Payroll Manager.

     

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Supporting and working with the payroll team to assist in the process the 4-weekly payroll.
    • Supporting the team in the development and implementation of all payroll processes and routines for both hourly and salaried colleagues
    • Oversee and check key areas of the payroll activity, to ensure accuracy and compliance including new starters, promotions, and leavers
    • Prepare and input data into the payroll system.
    • Production of payroll reports
    • Resolving payroll queries, whilst providing excellent customer service
    • Support key business projects to provide guidance on Payroll processes and legislative requirements.
    • Ad hoc Admin /Office duties.

     

    Person Specification:

    We are looking to appoint a Payroll Clerk who may have prior payroll experience of working in a dedicated team and have been involved in day-to-day processing of data. This will be a challenging, yet highly rewarding role that will operate within a fast-paced environment. You will have:

    • Up to date knowledge of using IT computer systems.
    • The ability to communicate with colleagues of all levels
    • Strong excel skills
    • A good eye for detail.
    • The ability to work to strict deadlines.
    • A strong understanding of confidentiality and GDPR.
    • Excellent teamwork, plus the ability to work on your own initiative.
    • A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
