    As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Graphic Designer / Illustrator to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.

     

    About the Role:

    The successful candidate will be working within the design team, on various projects including packaging and communication design. The role involves concept development and executing compelling illustrations that align with brand and product goals.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop compelling visual concepts for packaging and seasonal campaigns.
    • Illustrate and develop pattern designs for application across a range of products and packaging.
    • Create and amend artwork files from design templates in line with creative guidelines.
    • Adapt images throughout the artwork stages in preparation for repro, supporting the team at all times.
      You may be required to offer creative retouching where required.
    • Work alongside the design team, to ensure all creative work is produced to a high standard and completed
      within the deadline.
    • Working knowledge of a wide variety of printed materials, branding and print finishes.
    • Work as part of a team designing and producing regular packaging designs.
    • Work to a file management system, ensuring all design work is logged and filed.
    • Strong communication skills, and the ability to present work and reinforce your ideas.

     

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Excellent use of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop is essential.
    • Ability to illustrate in various styles to suit different brand identities and seasonal trends
    • Understanding of colour profiles, file & image formatting and output for print and web.
    • Experience of designing for print and packaging.
    • Strong typographic skills and a keen eye for detail.
    • Highly creative with a strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design work and illustration.
    • A keen understanding of brands, branding principles and the retail industry would be beneficial.

    • Confident, with the ability to work well within a team and on your own initiative.
    • Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple design projects.

    Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:45am – 17:30pm.
