    As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Digital Trading Executive to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.

     

    About the Role:

    As a Digital Trading Executive, you will be responsible for executing the online trading and product merchandising strategy across key product categories. You will own sales and conversion targets for these categories, working closely with Buying teams to identify commercial opportunities and support product development.

     

    Using a suite of merchandising tools, search technology, analytics, and business intelligence platforms, you will optimise product visibility, enhance the customer journey, and drive sales growth.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Own sales revenue and performance KPIs for assigned product categories and site taxonomy.
    • Monitor and report on key metrics including conversion rates, bounce rates, and category performance.
    • Use data-driven insights to improve category performance and customer engagement.
    • Ensure effective online merchandising across our transactional website.
    • Maintain brand integrity across all online trading and merchandising activities.
    • Develop a deep understanding of category performance, product range, and new product development.
    • Collaborate with supply chain and logistics to ensure campaigns are fully stocked and running smoothly.
    • Conduct competitor analysis to identify gaps and opportunities.
    • Optimise category structure, product sequencing, filters, and taxonomy for a seamless customer experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
    • Align merchandising with seasonal trends and customer demand.
    • Regularly review competitor websites for pricing, product range, navigation, and promotional strategies.
    • Identify emerging trends and product gaps to enhance the online offering.

     

    Person Specification:

    • Background in E-Commerce, Marketing, or Sales preferred (not essential).
    • Strong analytical skills; confident using Excel, Google Analytics (GA4), BI dashboards, and other tools.
    • Proven ability to meet targets and drive sales growth.
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
    • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team.
