Wardrobe Staples

Coats and Jackets - It goes without saying, you can't get through the winter months without a coat to keep you warm. As the British weather varies so much from day to day, it's a good idea to have two different coats or jackets; one hooded for when it rains and another that's warm and cosy for the cold and snowy days.

Jumpers and Knitwear - Having a couple of nice jumpers and knitwear items is great for the winter season as these will keep you warm but also add a charming touch of style to any outfit.

Fleeces - Ideal for layering when on winter walks and adventures, fleeces will keep you snug when you're wearing them but can be easily stored in a bag or carried if you get too hot.

Hoodies and Sweaters - A staple for any winter wardrobe, hoodies and sweaters are a must-have for everyday wear. Whether you're having a lazy day at home or nipping to the shops, hoodies will keep you comfortable and protected from the elements.

Now it's time for the accessories. Keeping your extremities warm will help you keep your whole body warm, so making sure you're wrapped up before going out in the winter is incredibly important.

Beanies and Hats - hats are a wonderful way to show off your personality, plus you lose a surprising amount of heat from your head! With bobble hats, caps, beanies and more available in a variety of styles, these are perfect for keeping your head warm whilst adding a trendy touch to your outfit.

Earmuffs and Headbands - if you find hats too warm but still want to keep your ears toasty, then earmuffs and headbands will be the perfect choice for you. Small and convenient to wear, they're perfect for finishing your practical and stylish winter look.

Gloves - When it's biting cold outside, your hands and fingers can often feel painful and uncomfortable. You can keep your sensitive fingers warm and cosy with a pair of gloves, or even mittens! It's always best to keep a pair of gloves in your bag whenever you go out in the winter, just in case of a cold wind or sudden snow shower.

Scarves - Ideal for giving you extra coverage on your chest and neck, scarves give you that little more warmth to help you make the most of winter. Available in a variety of styles from thick woolly ones to lighter, silkier styles, we recommend keeping a chunky one for winter months and a thinner, more fashionable one for autumn and spring, helping you to transition your fashion with the changing seasons. After all, spring and autumn can be just as changeable as winter!
